Poem - Departing Souls

Breathing in the air to fill our lungs,
Before we kiss and taste ones tongues.
Morning sunlight shines down bright,
Making what we had feel so right.

A cold frost greets us as we walk,
Needing the space, allowing to talk.
Time passes by and nothing is solved,
The love we had is now dissolved.

Hands once joined, now cold and bare,
We're doing this now because we care.
Holding out longer will cause more pain,
So we have to think, what will that gain.

My first love was he and now he's gone,
From the start I thought he's the one.
Feelings have changed from a single lie,
And so now is the time to say goodbye.
